Donnerstag Disco

Two quotes from last weekend that tickled me:

"Dude, what I love about you is that no matter where we meet you always look like you're at a festival, having fun..."

"You only play world music now, I'm sure it's really good but I really miss the disco..."

Whilst the second quote is quite unforgivable for several reasons, curiously the second promotional mix for my set at Green Meadows festival is, strangely enough, a more disco affair. Some recent and long time disco faves.

So, there was no Restless Funk radio last night due to election coverage; however what could have been awful actually wasn't, the sun is shining, it's Friday and it almost feels like party-time and party-time always has and always will mean Zouk-Time! Since Skliris & Achard (re-)broke the Zandoli sound last year (though props must also go to Zouk Nostalgie's youtube channel), everyone (and their mum) has been on the bandwagon and I'm no different; here's a small selection of what I've been digging...
